Families and Weddings

Having a large extended family can definitely have its advantages and its disadvantages when you are organising your perfect wedding celebrations, whether it be at home or abroad. Some family members may be over-keen and interfere in parts of your wedding which you would have preferred to keep personal between you and your future husband. Others save your bacon by coming up with ideas and finding suppliers that you would never have found alone.

Never dismiss anyone who is offering to help! You can allocate small jobs to them to help ease the pressure and the strain from yourselves. A friend to talk to florists about seasonal flowers, an aunt to check out what is in the bridal sections of high street shops.....

Wedding invitations are the first taste of your big day that your guests will get which makes them important. You could have a chat with a close trusted family member and let them know what you want, then they could then browse for you, collecting samples and phoning around different suppliers. With the hard work done, all you need to do is see if anything they have sourced is the perfect invite for you. Consider whether you want your whole wedding to match your invites, if you do, check that the wedding stationery company you pick does a complete range in the design you like. Think about wedding stationery such as thank you cards, table name cards and place cards for on each table.
