There are lots and lots of different wedding invitations that can be ordered or simply purchased in a shop or on line. They can be that varied that there is definitely something to suit everyone’s tastes. Wedding invitations can be really personal and so we are sure that you can find exactly what it is that you are looking for. Once you start looking you will get a clear idea of what is out there and what is right for you.

Wedding invitations can look as glamorous or as plain as you want them to look. There are so many colours to choose from that there will surely be something suitable in our vast range to satisfy your wedding invitation needs!

Families and Weddings

Having a large extended family can definitely have its advantages and its disadvantages when you are organising your perfect wedding celebrations, whether it be at home or abroad. Some family members may be over-keen and interfere in parts of your wedding which you would have preferred to keep personal between you and your future husband. Others save your bacon by coming up with ideas and finding suppliers that you would never have found alone.

Never dismiss anyone who is offering to help! You can allocate small jobs to them to help ease the pressure and the strain from yourselves. A friend to talk to florists about seasonal flowers, an aunt to check out what is in the bridal sections of high street shops.....

Wedding invitations are the first taste of your big day that your guests will get which makes them important. You could have a chat with a close trusted family member and let them know what you want, then they could then browse for you, collecting samples and phoning around different suppliers. With the hard work done, all you need to do is see if anything they have sourced is the perfect invite for you. Consider whether you want your whole wedding to match your invites, if you do, check that the wedding stationery company you pick does a complete range in the design you like. Think about wedding stationery such as thank you cards, table name cards and place cards for on each table.

National Wedding Show- 19th - 21st February 2010, Olympia, London

The National Wedding Fair at Olympia is nearly upon us and we are busy preparing. What colours are in, what will the catwalk show be like this spring, where will the champagne bar be!! All questions we are pondering while creating brand new displays of our stationery to dazzle you. Our stand will be divided into 'Classic' designs and 'Decorative' to help you choose your perfect invite. As always we are taking our leather guest books and photograph albums to take away with you, at a special show discount. These shows are always extremely busy, so if you can get the day off work and go on the Friday, all the better to be able to browse at your own pace. This show is a brilliant place to collect ideas, make contact with suppliers you may want to use and chat weddings with whoever you go with- all day!!

The Inspiration Sessions hosted by the very lovely Kate Smallwood are fantastic, bursting with insider tips and brilliant wedding planning ideas She'll be on the main stage with some fabulous florists chatting about how to choose your bouquet and your reception flowers. She'll also be talking to celebrity cake designer Eric Lanlard, and spending a few minutes every day helping you with that all-important budget. When she's not on stage, she'll be at the Inspiration Lounge - a great new feature at the London show giving her the opportunity to meet as many of you as possible and help with any wedding questions you might have.

'Brides' magazine fashion editors will also be on hand for 20 minute consultations to discuss the look for you big day, covering everything from your all important dress, to the bridesmaids outfits and your accessories to top it off! Caryn Frankin (from the Clothes Show) has been hosting the 'How to Look Good' show for as long as we can remember and it is alway fun to see someone transformed and compare the before and after. She grabs someone from the crowd and makes them look amazing, so make sure you're there!

Wedding Ideas Awards 2010

Friday 22nd January was not our usual kind of a day, dressed to the nines and nails painted, we were at the Wedding Ideas awards ceremony. Held at Andaz Hotel, Liverpool Street these awards have become one of the most important dates in all wedding professionals diaries. Hosted by Jenni Falconer, it has also become rather glam. Wedding suppliers are only nominated for an award through recommendations from the people that have used them. I know everyone says it, but we were so surprised and totally chuffed when Mandalay was announced as the best stationery category winner, and it’s thanks to you guys that we won. So, a big THANK YOU to everyone who voted for us.

We have worked hard to try and give value for money for a product that is desirable and of the highest quality, so that you are proud to use us within your weddings. We launched our new website, which we hope makes it easier for you to see the designs that we have and the colours they come in. We also brought out our Eco ranges, complete with recycled ribbons made from plastic bottles. But this is just the half of it - we know how stressful it can be to plan your big day, and their are so many decisions you need to make when ordering your wedding stationery. This is probably the only time you have had to order any wedding invitations so we try to make sure we are always helpful and never let you down. By winning, we hope that we have achieved this and that we make a difference. Please give us some feedback, we would love to hear from you.
